About Me
Hi! I’m Jim Nelson, a retired tradesman with decades of experience in fixing and repairing things around the house. Having owned old houses and fixer-uppers myself, I understand the ins and outs of home maintenance and improvement.
My background is rooted in carpentry and glazing. I was trained in carpentry then worked as a journeyman glazer for over 30 years. I also operated my own construction company for seventeen years then worked in construction project management.
When it comes to repairs, I excel at fixing doors, windows and small flooring and trim projects, as well as tackling other projects around the house. In addition to my own home repairs and projects, I also built my own house several decades ago making me familiar with every layer of a home build or repair. While I can’t claim to fix absolutely everything, I’m upfront and honest. Let me know what you need, and I’ll let you know if I’m the right person for the job.
